Zoom Phone User Directory
With North Way moving to use Zoom as our phone provider, the way to lookup or transfer a phone call has changed a bit. In Zoom, everyone is given an extension number and optionally an external phone number. Instead of remembering these extensions or numbers, there is a user directory available. You can use the user directory to lookup coworkers when initiating a call or transferring a call.
Zoom App on Phone
Initiate a New Call
- Select the Contacts button => Company Contacts
Transfer Existing Call
- Press Transfer button - No Transfer button? See below!
- Press little person icon in lower left
But wait! There is no Transfer button!
Zoom is setup by default to open the iPhone's native Phone UI if the Zoom app isn't open. This should only effect iOS devices.
- Press the “Zoom” button. This will open the Zoom interface and you can transfer the call as listed above.
To turn off this default setting, take these steps. This only applies to iOS devices
- Open the Zoom app on your phone
- Select More… => Settings => General
- Turn off option to “Use Callkit”

Initiate a New Call
- Select the dial pad icon => Press little person icon in lower left
Transfer Existing Call
- Select Transfer button => Direct => enter name of user to transfer to
