Zoom Calls aren't ringing on my phone...

Sometimes a call will come in to our NW Zoom phone number but it never actually rings.  Here are some things to check…

A.  Make sure Zoom Mobile devices are part of your call handling.

  1. Go to your personal Zoom Phone settings.  https://zoom.us/pbx/page/telephone/myZoomTelephony#/my-cloud-phone/settings
  2. Verify your call handling includes Zoom Mobile apps
  3. Verify your business hours are correct.  If you are a Pastor On Call, then your business hours should be 24/7.

B.  Verify your Zoom app isn't automatically forwarding to voice mail.

iPhone/Android:

  1. Press More ( … ) => Phone
  2. Make sure the Forward Calls feature is Off.

C.  Verify your phone settings allow background data use

iPhone:  Settings > Zoom > Background App Refresh

Android:

D.  Delete App and re-install.  

Sometimes there is a local caching problem after Zoom app/server updates

iPhone:  Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Zoom > Delete App   During re-install, approve all app permission requests.
